Having acquired specialized expertise in winemaking and viticulture in the Champagne, Alsace, and Bordeaux regions, Mathieu Labaki fell in love with South African vineyards in 2004.

As cellar master for a major player in the South African wine export market, Mathieu has successfully blended French expertise with South African viticulture.

He went on to become the winemaking manager and operations manager for a high-end exporter, and later a consultant, continuing to deepen his knowledge of and passion for South African wines.

In 2014, after 10 years of experience at the heart of this vineyard, Mathieu decided to share his passion for wine.
